From Corporate Despair to Crafted Excellence
Leaving the politics and constraints of the corporate world behind was perhaps the most significant turning point in life. While that world might have nearly consumed me, it was the golden sands of a beach where I found my true calling. With a few handmade belts and pieces of jewelry, and a heart full of determination, I embarked on a journey of craftsmanship and rediscovery.
In the bustling city of Johannesburg, opportunity beckoned. Starting with humble market stalls, I honed my skills, embracing creativity and constantly innovated. Over time, this passion translated into a unique approach to leather crafting, setting our creations apart.
Where the Name Originates
In tribute to my revered grandfather, Mr. Charles Lansdown, a gentleman celebrated not only for his undying integrity and magnanimous heart but also for his impeccable taste in fashion, particularly in exquisitely tailored suits and masterfully crafted accessories. He left me with a singular, timeless ethos: 'what you give out is what you get back'. From such wisdom, CHARLES LANSDOWN Tailored Leathers found its genesis.

Engraving:
Pioneering the integration of CO2 Laser technology with traditional leatherwork, our engraving and monogramming offerings add a distinct touch to every piece.
Tooling and Glue-up:
Precision is paramount. Using the finest materials and techniques ensures longevity and durability of every creation.
Stitching:
Employing top-notch industrial machines and resilient nylon threads, our stitching process is meticulously done to perfection.
Edges and Smoothing:
Every product edge undergoes a multi-step refinement process, including sanding, priming, coloring, and sealing, ensuring a smooth finish.
Patina and Waxing:
We use tinted high-quality oil waxes to provide each item with a protective seal and a unique, handcrafted finish.
Quality Testing:
